Nihondaira Yume Terrace is an octagonal wooden observation facility that opened in 2018 on the summit of Nihondaira in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City. Its design harmonizes with the nature of Nihondaira, a nationally designated scenic spot, and on clear days you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay, the Izu Peninsula, and the Southern Alps.

The facility has a three-story structure, with an exhibition area introducing the history and culture of Nihondaira and Shizuoka on the first floor, an observation lounge and cafe on the second floor, and an open observation deck (corridor) on the third floor. The observation corridor is open to the public at any time during opening hours, so you can enjoy the scenery at your leisure. It is also lit up at night, making it a popular night view spot.

The surrounding area is home to the Nihondaira Ropeway Summit Station and promenades, making it convenient for combining sightseeing with Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and tea field walks. Admission is free and you can enjoy the spectacular views of the four seasons, so it is visited by many tourists and locals throughout the year.
