Sumatakyo Dream Suspension Bridge is a 90m long and 8m high wooden suspension bridge that spans Sumatakyo Gorge in Kawane-cho, Shizuoka Prefecture. The vivid green color of the lake is due to the "Tyndall effect," and the mysterious color stands out especially on clear days. It was selected as one of the "Top 10 Footbridges in the World You Want to Cross Before You Die" by domestic and international travel information sites in 2012, and has attracted attention for its beauty and thrills.

It is about a 45-minute walk from the 3rd parking lot in Sumatakyo Onsen Town on the promenade, and after crossing the suspension bridge, you can climb up the steep 304-step staircase to the "Ozakizaka Observatory" on the opposite bank. The full course, including the round trip, takes about 70 minutes. The feeling of your feet shaking and the view of the lake below are thrilling, and there is a legend that love wishes will come true in the center of the bridge.

It can get crowded during the autumn foliage season and Golden Week, and there may be waiting times. When crossing the bridge, it is recommended to bring comfortable shoes and a drink, and allow yourself plenty of time.
