A vast free site spreads out at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Its greatest attraction is the overwhelming, unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji, and it is a popular campsite where you can enjoy the different faces of the four seasons.
Fumotopara is a campsite located in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, on a vast grassland of about 100,000 tsubo (approx. 330,000 m2) at the foot of the majestic Mt. Fuji. Its greatest attraction is the breathtakingly magnificent panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, with no obstructions whatsoever. You can have Mt. Fuji all to yourself, showing different expressions depending on the time and season, such as the "Red Fuji" dyed in the morning glow, Fuji illuminated by the sunset, and a silhouette rising under a starry sky.
The site is a free site with no divisions, so you can set up your tent wherever you like. There are multiple clean flush toilets and coin-operated hot water showers, so you can wash off the sweat and refresh yourself while camping. There are also multiple kitchens where you can prepare food and wash dishes.
At this campsite, the basic rule is to take all garbage home with you in order to protect the environment. However, you can rest assured that the charcoal and ashes you have finished burning will be disposed of in the designated "charcoal dumping area." If you are looking for an unforgettable camping experience at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Fumotopara is the best choice.
