Izumo Sakane Station is located in the mountain area of ​​the JR Kishi Line, and is known for its three-stage switchback system, which is rare even in Japan. Inside the station, in a corner of the platform, there is a spring that gushes out. According to an old man's tale, this water is warm in winter and cold in summer, and long-lived old raccoon dogs used to drink it, so the villagers started drinking it and it was named "Water of Enmei". It has been selected as one of the 100 famous waters of Shimane Prefecture, and people come from far away to draw water. Water quality tests are also conducted regularly, so it is safe to drink.

Water pumps for Enmei Water are not only located inside the station, but also on the opposite side of the road and next to the Okuizumo Maitake Direct Sales Shop, about 80 meters further north. The water pump at the Maitake Direct Sales Shop has a water pressure that is suitable for drawing water in a plastic container, making it convenient to access by car. The water pump inside the station is marked by a parent and child raccoon statue, a delight for visitors. Next to the water supply is a small shrine called Enmei Shrine, where you can pray for long life.
