Ariakehama Beach is a shallow, calm beach located in Kan'onji City, Kagawa Prefecture. The white sand beach, which stretches for about 2 kilometers, has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches, and is crowded with many beachgoers in the summer. The shallow water makes it safe for families with small children to enjoy, making it ideal for family leisure. The highly transparent seawater provides the perfect environment for refreshing the mind and body.

The neighboring Kotohiki Park is a scenic spot designated as a national scenic spot, and is located on a hill overlooking the entire Ariake Beach. Particularly famous is the giant "Zenigata Sand Art" painted in the shape of a Kan'ei Tsūhō coin. This sand art can be viewed in its entirety from the Kotohiki Park Observatory, and there is a legend that "those who see it will never lack for money." It is lit up at night as well as during the day, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

To get to the Kotohikiyama Observatory, you have to drive up a narrow road, but it is a one-way street so there are no oncoming cars, so you can rest assured. Parking lots 1 and 2 are located very close to the observation deck.

Nearby is Kotohiki Roadside Station.
