Horin-ji Temple is an ancient temple associated with Prince Shotoku, located in the village of Ikaruga. Its beautiful three-story pagoda allows you to experience the beauty of Japan at your leisure in the historic landscape and tranquil atmosphere.
Located in Ikaruga-cho, Ikoma-gun, Nara Prefecture, Horin-ji Temple is said to have been built during the Asuka period at the request of Prince Yamashiro no Oe, the son of Prince Shotoku. It is counted as one of the "Ikaruga Three Temples" along with Horyu-ji Temple and Chuguji Temple, and is designated as a national historic site due to its high historical value. In particular, the symbolic three-story pagoda, although reconstructed, faithfully reproduces the ancient architectural style, and its beautiful appearance that harmonizes with the surrounding rural landscape attracts many photography enthusiasts.

The storehouse houses a seated Yakushi Nyorai statue, a standing Kokuzo Bosatsu statue, and a standing Eleven-Headed Kannon Bosatsu statue.

The three-story pagoda was burned down by lightning in 1944 and rebuilt in 1975.
