Kashihara Shrine, located in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, is a shrine that was founded in the Meiji era on the site where Emperor Jimmu, the first emperor recorded in the Nihon Shoki, is said to have ascended to the throne at the foot of Mount Unebi.
