The Ishibutai Tumulus is a rare burial mound with huge stones piled up. Said to be the grave of the Soga clan in the early 7th century, the stone chamber is one of the largest in Japan.
Takamatsuzuka Tumulus Although it is small, it is an ancient tomb famous for the paintings drawn on the stone chamber. The paintings can be viewed at the adjacent Takamatsuzuka Mural Museum.

This area is part of the National Government Asuka Historical Park, and there are many other burial mounds in the surrounding area.
It is also recommended for historical women and ancient tomb women.

In addition, beautiful rural landscapes such as terraced rice fields remain in this area.

Asuka-dera Temple is nearby.
