Located in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, Roadside Station Shingu is a historic roadside station with a direct sales store and restaurant with a wide selection of local ingredients.
Roadside Station Shingu is located in Hirano, Shingu-cho, Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, along National Route 179. The unique feature of this roadside station is that it also has a historical aspect linked to the adjacent nationally designated historic site, the Shingu Miyauchi Ruins. Inside the facility, there is a wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruits from Shingu-cho, Tatsuno City, and locally processed products. In particular, the fresh produce brought by local farmers during the season is popular and has a reputation for being available at reasonable prices.

At the restaurant, you can enjoy set meals and noodles made with plenty of local ingredients. Tatsuno City is famous for its hand-pulled somen noodles, Ibonoito, and you may be able to taste related products and local noodle dishes at the roadside station. There is also a bathing facility called Fureai no Yu adjacent to the premises, where you can soothe your fatigue from driving.

Right next to the roadside station is the Shingu Miyauchi Ruins, which is thought to have flourished from the middle to late Yayoi period, and events such as fire-making experiences and ruins guided tours are sometimes held here. Shingu Roadside Station, where you can experience local food, culture, and history, is more than just a rest area; it serves as a base for promoting the charms of the region, offering tourists new discoveries.
