The Koyasan-Ryujin Skyline became toll-free in 2003 and became National Route 371, and is now a popular driving and touring spot.

The great advantage of the Goma-san Sky Tower Roadside Station is its spectacular views and its convenience as a rest stop during driving. From the observation tower (paid) located at an altitude of about 1,300m, you can see not only the mountains of the Kii Mountains, but also the distant Odai and Omine mountain ranges, and on days with good visibility, you can even see the islands of the Kii Channel and the Shikoku Mountains. In particular, for riders, it is a highlight of the spectacular drive on the Koyasan-Ryujin Skyline, and it is also popular as a touring destination. There is also a product corner in the facility where you can purchase special products and souvenirs from Ryujin Village and the Wakayama and Kumano regions. In addition, the large parking space makes it easy to stop by.

The Koyasan-Ryujin Skyline itself is a mountain road, and in winter (December to March), it may be closed due to snow accumulation and frozen roads.
Also, depending on the weather, you may not be able to enjoy the view, and visibility may be particularly poor on foggy days.
