This is the head shrine of Sarutahiko-no-Okami and the Ichinomiya of Ise Province. It is a tranquil power spot surrounded by beautiful nature, known for the matchmaking waterfall "Kanae Falls" and the divine virtue of opening roads.
Tsubaki Grand Shrine is located in the mountains of Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, and is the head shrine of the approximately 2,000 shrines dedicated to Sarutahiko Okami throughout Japan. It is said to have been founded in the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Suinin (3 BC), and is one of the oldest shrines in Japan, making it the Ichinomiya shrine representing Ise Province. As the god of opening the way, it is said to have the divine virtue of leading things in a good direction.

The grounds are surrounded by lush greenery and have a pure air. Kanae Falls, located at the back of the grounds, is especially popular with women. This waterfall is known as a power spot for the fulfillment of love, and many worshippers visit the shrine hoping for a good relationship. People can be seen praying with all their hearts while listening to the pure sound of the waterfall.

Sarutahiko-no-Okami is the god who guided Ninigi-no-Mikoto on his descent from heaven, and is believed to bring about all sorts of "opening of paths" blessings, such as traffic safety, business prosperity, artistic achievement, and good fortune. This is a place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, refresh your mind and body, and gain new energy on the stage of mythology.
