The Tarumi Great Cherry Tree is said to be 1,000 years old and is the largest in Hyogo Prefecture and one of the largest in Japan. It is a popular power spot where you can feel the strength of nature.
Tarumi no Ozakura, quietly standing in Tarumi, Oya-cho, Yabu-shi, Hyogo Prefecture, is a giant Edohigan cherry tree estimated to be over 1,000 years old. In spring, delicate light pink flowers bloom in full bloom on its stately appearance.

It is a 10-15 minute walk up the mountain path from the parking lot.

The cherry tree is still undergoing treatment, and is gradually recovering.

The area around Tarumi no Ozakura used to be a mulberry field, and there are countless stone walls covered with moss, giving it the atmosphere of an ancient ruin.

It seems that the area has been gradually developed for tourism recently, and there is a toilet in the parking lot.

[Useful points of concern]
The parking lot will be crowded on weekends during the flowering season.
To get to the cherry tree, you will have to climb a mountain path of about 400m, so it is better to wear sneakers.
