The Yamaguchi Prefectural Museum of Art houses the works of artists such as Sesshu and Yasuo Kazuki who were born in Yamaguchi Prefecture or who were based in Yamaguchi.
The museum consists of a permanent exhibition room and a temporary exhibition room.

In the permanent exhibition room, works by artists related to Yamaguchi Prefecture are exhibited, centering on the works of Sesshu and Yasuo Kazuki.

In the special exhibition room, various exhibitions are held, including contemporary art from Japan and abroad, as well as special exhibitions with specific themes.

The Yamaguchi Xavier Memorial Church and the Yamaguchi Prefectural Yamaguchi Museum are also located in the adjacent Kameyama Park site.
