Misono Tenmangu Shrine is a shrine with ties to Sugawara no Michizane, the God of Learning. Many students visit the shrine during exam season.

It is also famous as a location for the scene in the movie "Transfer Student" directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi where a student falls down the stairs.

Although it is not flashy with large trees, it is a shrine with a unique atmosphere.

You can walk from the shrine through Daisenji Temple to Saigoku-ji Temple.
