Kogenji Temple in Tanba City is an ancient temple surrounded by tranquility and beautiful vibrant autumn foliage. During the autumn "Momiji Festival," it becomes one of the most popular spots in the Kansai region to see autumn foliage.
In autumn, Kogenji Temple is bustling with visitors as the Tenmoku maples in the temple grounds turn a beautiful red. In spring, the double cherry blossoms bloom, offering a different kind of beauty.
The best time to see the autumn leaves is from early to late November.

You can also enjoy shojin ryori (traditional vegetarian cuisine) by making a reservation by phone at least three days in advance.
