Ikuta Shrine is famous as a power spot for matchmaking. Although it is located in the center of the city, it is surrounded by lush greenery and is a popular shrine with a long history that was founded 201 years ago. Many people visit the shrine to pray for success in love and good fortune.
Ikuta Shrine is a historic shrine located in Kobe City's Chuo Ward. It is said to have been founded by Empress Jingu about 1,800 years ago. The main deity is Wakahirume-no-Mikoto, who is especially famous as the god of matchmaking. Many people visit the shrine to pray for love and good relationships, and the shrine is affectionately known as "Ikuta-san of Matchmaking." Although it is located in the middle of the city, once you step inside, you will be enveloped in silence and a calming space spreads out. The vermilion color of the main hall is beautiful and creates a solemn atmosphere.

In the shrine grounds, there is a sacred tree called "Meotokusu" that is over several hundred years old, and it is known as a power spot for matchmaking. It is said that touching this tree will bless you with a good relationship, and many worshippers pray here. In addition, deep within the shrine grounds, there is a rich forest called Ikuta no Mori, which is a healing space that helps you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. In recent years, it has also been gaining attention as a spot that looks good on social media, and is popular as a place where you can take beautiful photos.

This shrine has been rebuilt after many disasters, including the Great Kobe Flood, the Great Kobe Air Raid, and the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. It is one of Kobe's most powerful spots, and many celebrities visit here.
