Kobe Suma Sea World is a new large aquarium that will have its grand opening on June 1, 2024 on the site of the former Kobe Municipal Suma Aqualife Park.
Based on the concept of "edutainment," which combines education and entertainment, the aquarium allows visitors to learn about the marine environment and creatures while having fun through exhibits and performances.

The aquarium is divided into several zones, with the main attractions being the "Orcastadia," where visitors can see the dynamic performances of killer whales, the only one of its kind in western Japan, and the "Dolphintadia," where visitors can experience the intelligence and physical abilities of dolphins. In addition, the "Aqua Live" area displays a variety of marine creatures, and visitors can learn about their ecology in depth through immersive exhibits using the latest technology and digital content. There is also a free area called "Suma Collection," which displays some of the creatures inherited from the former Suma Aqualife Park. There is also a paid discovery program where visitors can interact with and feed the creatures.

The admission fee is subject to dynamic pricing, which varies depending on the season, and visitors should check the price calendar on the official website. The aquarium is generally open all year round, but there may be temporary closures due to maintenance and other reasons. Business hours also vary depending on the season, so please check the official website for the latest information.

It is convenient to get to the park by public transport, about a 5-minute walk from JR Suma-kaihin-koen Station or about a 10-minute walk from Sanyo Electric Railway Tsukimiyama Station. There is a parking lot, but the number of spaces is limited and it is expected to be crowded, especially on holidays, so it is recommended to use public transport. Parking fees also vary depending on the season.
