Tsuzumimon is a gate designed to evoke the image of Noh, a traditional performing art, and is the symbol of Kanazawa Station. Although it is not a historical building, its high level of design has attracted attention both in Japan and overseas, and it has been selected as one of the "most beautiful train stations in the world."
The Tsuzumimon Gate, with its wooden and stainless steel pillars shaped like a drum, was completed in 2005 as a symbol of the east exit. It is lit up at night, creating a photogenic scene in front of the station.

The Tsuzumimon Gate was designed with the image of Noh, a traditional performing art in Kanazawa, and Kanazawa's rainy and snowy climate in mind. It is meant to represent welcoming visitors to Kanazawa with a spirit of hospitality.

The architectural design was done by Shirae Ryuzo's Shirae Architectural Institute.

The Hospitality Dome behind it is a large glass and stainless steel roof, and its functional beauty means you can move around without getting wet even in rainy weather.
