Senjogahara was once a lake that has now become a wetland, and boasts a vast area of 400 hectares. As many as 350 types of plants grow naturally in the wetland, and it is also famous for its large variety of wild birds.

Senjogahara's greatest feature is its majestic scale. The marshland spreads out with the majestic figure of Mt. Nantai in the background, and the scenery is breathtaking.

Another appeal of Senjogahara is that you can enjoy the scenery of each season. In the spring, flowers such as cottontail and lily pads are in full bloom, and in the summer, the trees are filled with fresh greenery. In autumn, the wetlands are colored with autumn leaves, and in winter, the snowy landscape is beautiful.
