Tachimachi Misaki is a cape in Hakodate that overlooks the Tsugaru Strait.
Located on the south side of Mt. Hakodate, from a height of approximately 30 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait and the coastline of Omorihama Beach.
Cape Tachimachi used to be an important point to monitor foreign ships, and the ruins of a battery can still be seen on the cliff. It is also known as a place where the poet Takuboku Ishikawa often took a walk, and in the middle of the cape is the grave of Takuboku Ishikawa and his family.
