Cape Kamui is a cape that protrudes into the Sea of Japan on the Shakotan Peninsula in Hokkaido.
At the tip of the cape, there is a huge rock called Kamuiiwa.
Kamuiiwa Rock is a gigantic rock about 30m high and 100m in circumference that juts out from the coastline of a sheer cliff. Kamuiiwa Rock has maintained its shape for hundreds of years, despite the rough waves of the Sea of Japan.
There is a promenade along the cliffs on both sides leading up to the observation deck, which is both thrilling and refreshing.
