The Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum is surrounded by nature and is located on a hill at the foot of Mt. Fuji, boasting a great location with a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, which are beautiful in all four seasons. The building is like a hideaway in the forest, and is designed to give you a sense of the warmth of wood. On the maintained walking paths, you can enjoy forest bathing in between viewing art. Formerly known as the "Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum," the museum changed its name to its current name on January 1, 2020.
In addition to modern art works themed on music and sound, the museum also features a variety of exhibits related to sound, including precious antique music boxes. As you walk through the glass-walled corridor, you will be greeted by an installation that harmonizes with the sounds of nature. There are also permanent sound objects by musicians and sound artists, allowing you to experience a new sensation of experiencing "sound" with all five senses. In addition, special events that combine art and music, such as sand art concerts and performances by automatic musical instruments and opera singers, are regularly held.

At the museum shop attached to the museum, you can find original goods with a music motif and crafts filled with local charm. At the cafe, you can spend a relaxing time gazing at the beautiful garden while savoring sweets and drinks made with plenty of fresh local fruit. It is an attractive spot where you can enjoy a luxurious time interwoven with art, nature, and music by visiting in conjunction with sightseeing at Lake Kawaguchi.
