Sawamochi Chaya is a long-established shop located in Konan City, Kochi Prefecture that dates back to the Edo period and is popular for its Nikki-flavored daifuku mochi.

Their signature product, Ochaya Mochi, is a rice cake filled with Nikki's richly flavored red bean paste, and is a famous confectionery representing Kochi Prefecture.

Ochaya-mochi got its name from the fact that it was traditionally offered as a tea sweet to the Kochi feudal lords during their sankin shift.
