Nakagusuku Castle is a castle that existed during the Ryukyu Kingdom era in the 15th century. It has been selected as one of the 100 best castles in Japan.
This is a mountain castle located on a limestone hill at an altitude of 150 to 170 meters.
The Nakagusuku Castle ruins are known as the best-preserved Gusuku in Okinawa Prefecture.
The stone walls are beautifully arranged with curved lines.
There are also remains that give us a glimpse of what life was like back then, such as the Baba Square and the ruins of a blacksmith's shop.
