Nakayama Chausuyama Tumulus

This keyhole-shaped tumulus is said to have been built between the 3rd and 4th centuries, located near Kibitsu Shrine.
The identity of the person buried is unknown, but the Imperial Household Agency has announced that it is the grave of Daikibitsuhiko, the seventh emperor and prince.

The surrounding area is fenced and you cannot go inside, but it is a power spot with a sacred atmosphere.

There is a promenade that you can hike from the Kibitsuhiko Shrine side.

There is no dedicated parking lot for the Nakayama Chausuyama Tumulus, but you can use the parking lot at the "Okayama Prefectural Ancient Kibi Cultural Properties Center''.

The Okayama Prefecture Ancient Kibi Cultural Properties Center displays many items excavated from many ancient tombs in Okayama Prefecture, and you can view them for free.
