It consists of three peaks on the Hiruzen Plateau: Kami-Hiruzen (1,202m), Naka-Hiruzen (1,123m), and Shimo-Hiruzen (1,100m). You can enjoy hiking along the ridgeline connecting the three peaks, encountering grasslands, beech forests, and seasonal flowers with great views.
The Three Peaks of Hiruzen are Kami-Hiruzen (1,202m), Naka-Hiruzen (1,123m), and Shimo-Hiruzen (1,100m). The highland climate is cool even in summer, and the ridgeline offers spectacular views of the Hiruzen Plateau, Mount Hoki-Daisen, and even Karasugayama. Mount Yari-ga-Mine, located at the eighth station of Kami-Hiruzen, is particularly known as a great vantage point and popular with photographers.

The hiking trail takes approximately two hours to reach each peak, while the three-peak traverse takes approximately seven to eight hours. Bamboo fields open up from the fifth station of Shimo-Hiruzen, while views open up from the eighth station of Naka-Hiruzen and the second station of Kami-Hiruzen. Dogtooth violets add color in May, and bamboo lilies add color at the end of June. Beginners can enjoy a round-trip between the individual peaks, while intermediate hikers can enjoy an exhilarating ridge walk on a traverse.
