Yasaka Koshindo is a temple popular for its countless colorful beads located near Hokanji Temple (Yasaka Tower) on Ninenzaka in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City.
It is also a popular spot for women to shine.
Yasaka Koshindo is said to have been built at the end of the Heian period.

The grounds of Yasaka Koshin-do Temple are decorated with many colorful Kukuri Monkeys. Kukuri-zaru is a piece of paper with a wish written on it that is tied to the monkey's arm and then the monkey is hung. Legend has it that when a wish comes true, the monkey returns to normal.

``Kukurizaru'' costs 500 yen.
