Yasui Shrine is a shrine located in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City. It is also called Yasui Tenmangu Shrine. It is known as the place where Nobushige Sanada (Yukimura Sanada) died in battle.
The history of Yasui Shrine is said to date back to the Asuka period. It is said that when Michizane Sugawara was demoted, he took refuge here and built a shrine. Afterwards, when Nobushige Sanada was killed in the Osaka Summer Siege, his head was brought to this place and is said to have been buried there.

Although the precincts are not large, it is a nice shrine surrounded by trees and has a quiet atmosphere.
It's not flashy, but it's a spot we definitely recommend for Sanada Yukimura fans.

Nearby Tennoji Park is home to Chausuyama, where Sanada Yukimura camped during his Osaka campaign. I think it's a good idea to visit to check the location etc.
