It is a karst plateau with an altitude of about 1,400m on the border between Ehime Prefecture and Kochi Prefecture.

Akiyoshidai in Yamaguchi is also good, but Shikoku Karst has a higher altitude and a better view.

The contrast between the green of the mountains in the summer, the blue of the sky, and the white of the rocks and windmills creates an atmosphere that is not in Japan.

Sightseeing spots include Tengu Kogen, Godan Kogen, Himizuruhei, Onogahara, Mominoki Pony Ranch.
