The castle tower is designated as a national treasure, and there are many important cultural properties.

Compared to a similar castle, Inuyama Castle in Aichi Prefecture, which is a national treasure, Inuyama Castle has more highlights, but Hikone Castle has more highlights in terms of the castle as a whole, such as the stone walls and the digging Genkyuen.

In the inner moat on the east side of the castle tower is the Genkyuen, a Japanese garden.

Entrance fee includes Genkyuen.

The Kyobashiguchi parking lot on the south side of the castle tower is a little far from the castle tower, but it is convenient because there are many souvenir shops and restaurants.
