The Historic Streetscape of Tonemachi in Tsuwano Town

It is called "Little Kyoto of San'in" and the old townscape from when it was a castle town still remains to this day.
The colorful carp swimming in the waterways along the roadside leave a lasting impression. However, it is a bit disappointing that the water may be slightly muddy depending on the season.

Many Tsuwano's famous confectionery shops selling "Genji-maki," a rolled cake, can be found in the area surrounding the street.

On weekends and holidays, it is recommended for those interested to see the SL (steam locomotive) depart from Tsuwano Station toward Yamaguchi Station in the early evening.
