Shimoyubara Onsen Himawarikan is located along the Asahikawa River. The spring temperature is 39 degrees, and the weak alkaline simple hot spring is characterized by its gentleness on the skin. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy the view of the mountain stream and relax while feeling the nature of the four seasons.

There is a restaurant inside the building that uses local ingredients, and in addition to handmade soba, the GBA burger (Gibier burger), which is only available on weekends, is popular. The pate made with fresh venison processed on the premises goes perfectly with craft beer.

There are also three private open-air baths for pets, and the amount of water can be adjusted to suit small and large dogs and cats. The water is changed and cleaned after each bath, so you can let your pet take a hot spring bath or refresh them in a clean environment.

Also, at Sabara Shrine, about a five-minute drive east on Prefectural Route 52, there is a giant 900-year-old (43m tall, 10m in circumference) cedar tree at the shrine.
