Until the middle of the Showa era, it was said to boast the world's largest output as a copper mine.

There is a place called Toyo Machu Picchu, which is a sky heritage site, in the Higashidaira area. There is a sightseeing bus to the Machu Picchu of the Orient. (You can also go by car, but the road is narrow and it is difficult to pass each other, so we recommend using the bus on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.)
There is also a hot spring facility "Besshi Onsen ~Tenku no Yu~".
