Hourai-ji Temple, Houraiji Mountain

Horaiji is a temple located on the sacred mountain of Okumikawa.
The steep cliffs behind the temple are impressive, and the 60m tall cedar tree, estimated to be 800 years old, is also a highlight. It is one of Aichi Prefecture's leading power spots.
There are 1,425 stone steps leading up to the shrine.

The Niomon Gate, built by Tokugawa Iemitsu, is a national important cultural property.
It is also a famous spot for autumn leaves.

The Horaijiyama Parkway is currently free, but there is a charge for parking.

In addition, there are sightseeing spots such as Yuya Onsen and Atera Nanataki, one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls.
