Kinkei Falls is a waterfall that is the source of the Ichinozaka River, on the way to Hagi on Prefectural Route 62 from Yamaguchi City to Hagi. It consists of two waterfalls, the Odaki (60m drop) and the Medaki (15m drop), and because the overall image resembles a crowing rooster, it was named Nishikidori Falls.
Ontaki is beautiful with a trickle of water running down the rocks, and Medaki is a powerful flow that is worth seeing. There are stone Buddha statues such as Fudo Myo-o near the waterfall, and the old trees surrounding the waterfall create a serene atmosphere.

It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the waterfall.
