The Tokugawa Art Museum is located in Higashi-ku, Nagoya, and is a museum that mainly collects and exhibits treasures handed down by the Owari Tokugawa family. It has many belongings from Tokugawa Ieyasu and feudal lord tools from the Owari Tokugawa family since the first Tokugawa lord, Yoshinao, including 9 national treasures and 59 important cultural properties. It is particularly famous for having many of the surviving parts of the Tale of Genji Illustrated Scroll, which conveys the splendor of the dynasty culture to the present day. The wide range of exhibits, including swords, armor, tea utensils, and Noh costumes, are a collection of the best of the feudal lord culture of the time and are well worth seeing. The museum has a calm atmosphere, allowing you to immerse yourself in the world of history and art.

The Tokugawa Garden adjacent to the museum is a beautiful Japanese garden with a pond and strolling style that recreates the feudal lord gardens of the Edo period. The garden is designed to skillfully incorporate natural scenery, with waterfalls, streams, and ponds. Flowers bloom in every season, with cherry blossoms in spring, irises in early summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and snow hangings in winter, giving the garden a different look every time you visit. Especially during the autumn leaves season, the entire garden is dyed in fiery red and yellow, creating a breathtaking beauty. By strolling through the garden, you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a relaxing time.
