Minochu is a long-established Japanese confectionery store founded over 150 years ago. It is a prestigious store that offers a wide range of steamed yokan and nobori yokan, as well as seasonal fresh sweets, perfect as souvenirs from Nagoya.
Minochu Honten is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in 1854 (the first year of the Ansei era). The storefront is decorated with a formal gate in the Kikyoya style and mirror tiles reminiscent of a Japanese garden, and is always bustling with locals and tourists looking for traditional yokan.

The specialty steamed yokan "Nobori Yokan" and the seasonal "Hatsukatsuo" with its pale pink spring-like color are characterized by their moist and elegant sweetness.

In addition to the main store, there are street-front stores in Showa Ward and Chikusa Ward. There are also stores selling the products at Nagoya Station and department stores in Sakae.

It is about 300 meters from Marunouchi Station on the subway.

[Hidden gem]
In the area on the southwest side of the store, just near the store, is the "Shimanami Townscape Preservation District," which retains the atmosphere of Edo-period streets.
