Shimizudani Smelter Ruins is the remains of the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine smelter located in Ota City, Shimane Prefecture, built during the Meiji period. A beautiful stone wall remains.

The quality of the ore was worse than expected, and the smelter was shut down after a year and a half.

The Shimizudani Smelter Ruins was a smelter that was built using cutting-edge technology at the time, and is one of the constituent assets of the World Heritage Site "Iwami Ginzan."
