This is a shrine in Izukuni Ichinomiya located in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Although it is unknown when it was founded, it has been enshrined in Mishima since ancient times, and records remain in old books from the Nara and Heian periods, and it is a historic shrine that was revered by many samurai families, including Minamoto no Yoritomo.

Mishima Taisha is also famous as the shrine where Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for the prosperity of his family and the restoration of the Genji clan when he was exiled.
