Kurokawa Onsen, located in Minamioguni-cho, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture, is one of the most popular hot spring areas in Japan, surrounded by rich nature.

The hot spring town stretches for approximately 1.6 kilometers along the Tanohara River.
Cobblestone alleys and quaint shops line the streets throughout the hot spring town.

One of the pleasures of Kurokawa Onsen is touring the open-air baths of inns and public baths.
