Hasedera is a historic temple in Kamakura that was founded in 736.
Hasedera Temple is said to have been founded by Tokudo Shonin in the 8th year of Tenpyo (736) during the Nara period.

Hasedera is an old temple in Kamakura and has attracted many people's faith. The temple grounds are lined with temples such as the Eleven-faced Kannon-do, the three-storied pagoda, the bell tower, the Niomon gate, and the Benzaiten-do, and are filled with seasonal flowers.

There is one of Japan's largest wooden Buddha statues, which is 9.18m high.
