It is one of the most scenic spots in Japan, with a series of cliffs around 100 meters high and a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

There is also an observation deck and lighthouse.

On New Year's Day, the shrine is crowded with not only locals but also tourists from far away who come to see the first sunrise of the year.
