Hamarikyu Gardens was originally a stroll-style rockery-style spring garden built during the Edo period, and was opened as a metropolitan garden in 1946.
The Hama-rikyu Gardens were built during the Tokugawa Ietsuna era as a second residence for the shogunate.

Hama-rikyu Gardens is a garden with a tidal pond that takes in seawater from Tokyo Bay and changes the water level of the pond with the ebb and flow of the tide.

In addition to the tidal pond, the park also has a duck farm, a tea house, a flower garden, and a button garden, so you can enjoy the scenery of each season.
