Japan's highest drop of 350m! Shomyo Falls

Shomyo Falls is the largest waterfall in Japan with a height of 350 meters. It has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls.

The Shomyo River, which originates from the Tateyama mountain range, flows down from the Midagahara Plateau.

From Takimidai Enchi, you can see the magnificent waterfall that flows while breaking in four stages from the front. You can also go up to the basin of the waterfall.

The road becomes a pedestrian-only road from the middle, so walk on the road for about 30 minutes from the parking lot.

Closed in winter due to snow. It opens from late April to late November every year.
