The Niyodo River is a class 1 river located in Kochi Prefecture, Shikoku, and has the highest water quality in Japan. ``Nikobuchi'' is a waterfall located in ``Ino-machi'' upstream of the Niyodo River.
Nikobuchi is known as a representative spot of "Niyodo Blue" because the water is highly transparent and shines an emerald green color when sunlight shines through it.

There is a legend that Nikobuchi is home to a large serpent that is said to be the incarnation of the water god, and is revered by locals as a sacred place. Therefore, entering the water, eating and drinking, and using the toilet are prohibited.
