Isuien Neiraku Art Museum is a pond garden and art museum located near Todaiji Temple in Nara City, Nara Prefecture. It is designated as a national scenic spot.
Isuien is a garden created as a villa by Dosei Kiyosumi, who was a purveyor of Nara sarashi during the Edo period. Mt. Wakakusa, Mt. Kasuga, and the roof of Todaiji Nandaimon serve as a borrowed scenery, and the inner island and artificial hill are covered with grass as if the lawn of Mt.

The Neiraku Museum of Art collects three generations of the Nakamura family, Junichi and Junyu, including Junsaku Nakamura, who owned Isuien, in 1945. More than 2,000 items that escaped the Great Kobe Air Raids below are in our collection and on display.

At Isuien, you can enjoy two Japanese gardens with different tastes created in different cultural eras, the Edo period and the Meiji period. In addition, there is the Neiraku Museum in the park, which stores and exhibits Oriental antiques, and you can also touch the culture.
