The Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art has a large collection of modern and contemporary Kyoto art, including Japanese paintings, Western paintings, sculptures, crafts, calligraphy, and prints. The permanent exhibition room displays works that transcend eras and genres, with a focus on modern and contemporary Kyoto art. In addition, special exhibitions feature art from various genres from Japan and abroad.

The Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art is located in a quiet location surrounded by the rich nature of Okazaki Park. The interior features an open design with an atrium and glass walls. There is also a cafe and museum shop, where you can leisurely enjoy art viewing.

Parking is available in the dedicated parking lot on the north side of the main building.
