The Kanmon Pedestrian Tunnel is an impressive 780-meter-long walkway located 55 meters below the Kanmon Strait, right beneath the Kanmon Bridge. It is a stunning straight-line tunnel dedicated exclusively to pedestrians.
Bicycles and mopeds are allowed in the tunnel, but they must be pushed by hand.
In front of the parking area, you can find the historical site of Dan-no-ura, the final battle between the Genji and Heike clans.
