Ritsurin Park, located in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, is Japan's largest excursion-style daimyo garden. It was built in the latter half of the 16th century by the Matsudaira clan, the feudal lord of the Takamatsu domain, and has since been renovated by successive feudal lords. It is now designated as a national special scenic spot.
