Nara Park is a vast park located in Nara city and is one of the representative tourist attractions of Nara prefecture. The park is home to many cultural assets and buildings that are part of Japan's cultural heritage, and it is also famous for the opportunity to interact with wild deer within the park.



The Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple, the five-story pagoda of the eastern tower of Kofukuji Temple, and the three-story pagoda of the western tower are representative cultural assets of Japan and attract many tourists to Nara Park. Additionally, there is a small hill called Wakakusayama within the park, and on top of it is a temple dedicated to Wakakusayama faith, built in reference to Mount Miwa. From Wakakusayama, you can overlook the city of Nara.

Another attraction of the park is the opportunity to interact with the wild deer that roam freely within the park. The deer are friendly and approachable, and visitors can feed them deer crackers and enjoy the experience of interacting with them.

Nara Park is located about a 20-minute walk from JR Nara Station, and there are many other tourist attractions in Nara City, so it is recommended to visit Nara Park along with other spots.
